I'm leaving Australia on monday. These last 3 months have been soooo fast ! I'll be happy to come back here next year This makes me think that I delayed once again posting about GEF stuff, maybe I'll be able to do something for this today...

Opera

Oh my god ! Le navigateur Opera est gratuit désormais ! Je l'ai installé sous Mac OS X pour voir. Il fonctionne divinement bien, même si Safari reste mieux intégré. Mais surtout, il est bien meilleur comme navigateur alternatif sur cet OS que Firefox. Même avec les betas DeerPark, Firefox est incroyablement lourd / lent sous Mac. Une horreur, Netbeans semblerait presque utilisable en comparaison

Bazaar-NG test

I have decided to take a spin with Bazaar-NG because F/OSS decentralized SCM tools are the way to go (well at least I am convinced that they are ...). First impressions after playing with code, branches and merges between branches:

• it is simple, like Darcs
• the implemented features work very well
• it is nicely written in Python and not in an obscure language like Haskell
• it can be easily controlled as an external program, unlike Darcs
• ... it is still in early development.

For sure I will keep this project under the radar. Meanwhile Darcs is good, but has too many limitations that will not make it get out of its niche (unfortunately ...).
