I am done with my studies

I am glad to let the world know that I am now officially done with my studies as I now hold an Australian PhD!

I already obtained my French PhD last July, but I did a joint-PhD with the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and thus I was waiting for the results of the examination there.

I took quite a lot of time to get the 3 reviewers to write down their evaluations. I finally received a notification yesterday that all 3 reviewers validated the work without requiring any correction (it is common in Australia to require at least minor corrections as there is no oral defense for PhDs).

That is quite a special feeling as I have some really great memories of my time in Australia. That was a really great personal experience which I'm not going to forget any time soon. I'm pretty lucky to have been given the chance to come to Australia at UNSW which is one of the most prestigious University in the world.

The only flip side of the coin is that I have just finished my studies as the world is hitting one of the worst financial crisis ever... which means that finding a job is not going to be an easy task at all. Anyway meanwhile let's have some fun and celebrate
